Nine years ago, PAPA set out with a simple philosophy:
“To produce family-friendly theatrical productions for the entertainment and cultural development of the community, as well as providing a vehicle for social interaction, and intellectual and emotional growth.”
Based near Long Beach, WA we found our home overlooking the mouth of the mighty Columbia River, our theater is a historic ordnance building located in Fort Columbia State Park built in 1896. PAPA brings the world of music and theater to both locals and visitors. An amazing array of local volunteer talent creates community theater that is family-oriented, high quality, and fun. Audiences are entertained by skilled actors, dancers, singers, musicians, artists & technicians.
PAPA wants quality theatre to be easily accessible to its community. We don't think you should have to drive to Portland or Seattle to see a great production. We believe you can enjoy one right here. Because the people you see in the coffee shop, helping you at the hardware store and even waiting on you for brunch have amazing talents! PAPA strives to be an outlet for their creativity. These are the people in the community we want to join our team! These are the people of the community we want to give you the opportunity to support!
With the support of our wonderful volunteers, sponsors, donors and patrons we can continue to offer quality community theatre right here at the mouth of the Columbia River.
Want to check out our beautiful location? Just look up Fort Columbia State Park, located on top of the tunnel in Chinook, WA. We're the first historical building on the right! (Even if we're not there you can still check out the amazing hidden beach and cove below the theater)
